Two generations, Z and X, together Gen ZX: back to the ZX Spectrum
Generation Z, entering the workforce and becoming the entrepreneurs, and Generation X, the subject-matter experts starting companies, often their parents; the millennials in the middle may read it but theirs is a different story. Together they are Generation ZX, which goes back to Dinis's origins, the ZX Spectrum (Sinclair, UK, April 1982). It is Gen ZX, not XZ: XZ is the compression library with the 2024 backdoor, and in a book that covers security the order of the letters matters.
Decided by. Dinis, in Gen ZX Developers, adopted as the frame of rc2 (decision 015)
Note. Generation boundaries by the Pew Research Center's dates (X 1965 to 1980, millennials 1981 to 1996, Z 1997 to 2012); the book says which it uses. Whether the book says why it is not for millennials first is Dinis's question; decision 014 says it does, briefly.
