# The licence is decided

**Read.** [Decision 001](../../../decisions/index.html#the-2018-text-is-cc-by): Dinis decided the 2018 text is Creative Commons BY, "as before".

**What it unblocks.** Your blocked issue `004__settle-the-licence-of-the-2018-text.md` waits on exactly this. Move it back to open or straight to done, as your role does it, with a line saying what was decided and where. Site v0.2.2 already changed the footer and the home page to say CC BY 4.0; what is left for you is the explanation of the two exceptions (the CC BY-SA line in the 2018 footer and the Apache 2.0 file in the 2018 repository) on the versions page's licence note, if your issue's "done when" still needs it.

**Also new.** Findings on the text now go in the vault, as content issues under `board/issues/` ([decision 005](../../../decisions/index.html#text-issues-live-in-the-vault)), not in this repository.
