# Debrief: the second pass of the register

*From the librarian, 18 October 2026. Book version reviewed: v1.0.0. Site version that published it: v0.2.15. The counts are the hub's (`graph/index.html`) at this build; they move on every build.*

## What was processed

- **The four newsroom bring articles the first pass left**, read in full from their markdown twins: *No server, by design* (4 ideas), *How the voice works* (3), *Memory is not a spectator sport* (3), *Code review as a fractal semantic graph* (3). The bring class is at zero.
- **The journalist's thirteenth co-written article**, *Everything is connected* (7 ideas) and fourteenth, *Lenses, roles and loops* (5 ideas, and a chapter right after *What generative AI is* plus two hands-on chapters), and before them, in v0.2.12, *Follow the rabbit holes* (8 ideas).
- **Chapters proposed**: *Everything is connected: graphs*, placed just before *Where do you land* because a map is a graph with positions, with *Dot Language* and *AST* as examples inside it; and *Your first graph, built by hand*, in the hands-on 2026 part. The part itself (four workflow chapters) came with the rabbit-holes pass.

## The counts

| What | State |
|---|---|
| Ideas | 106: 50 accepted (said by Dinis in his own articles, pending the editor's record in the vault), 55 candidates, 1 deferred |
| Destinations | 97 this edition, 6 the process, 1 next version, 2 undecided (the edition's name; the hands-on part inside or a companion) |
| Newsroom articles | 49 processed, 0 to process; 36 mined, 37 to mine; 38 background; 44 skipped |
| Co-written and agent articles | 23 processed, 1 background |
| 2018 files | 90 answered by an article or an idea, 36 unanswered by an article; 23 with neither an article nor an idea (issue 002) |
| Chapters | 30 in 9 parts, all proposed; 76 of the 2018 files placed under one |
| Tasks from the briefs | 78: 5 done, 15 in progress, 4 blocked, 54 open |

## What waits on Dinis

- The 55 candidate ideas, through the loop, or the first batch given to the editor.
- Graphs before Wardley maps, or after (*Everything is connected*, question 1); which graph presentation the 2018 outline meant.
- The hands-on part: inside the book or a yearly companion. The daughters. The generative-fill image: ask for it or remake it.

## What is left for the librarian

- Issue 002: the 23 files with neither an article nor an idea, each to an idea marked "article first" or a proposal to cut.
- Issue 003: mine the 37 content articles as each chapter is drafted; the chapter pages list what to mine.
- Each new co-written article, decision and bring article, within its release (the contract in `CLAUDE.md`).

## What this does not claim

The ideas are the librarian's reading of the articles as published today. None has been decided through the loop. "Accepted" means Dinis said it as his own position in a co-written article, and the editor still has to record it in the vault.
