# Check every drawing in black and white

**What.** The book will be printed in black and white (chapter 4 says so of its badges). Every drawing must carry its meaning by shape, position and text, not by colour alone. Add a greyscale render to `infographic_png.py` (`--grey`), look at every drawing that way, and fix what colour alone was carrying. The book on one page is the known case: it is coloured by the readers' interest, which is the editor's tool; the print version should be by part, or carry the number on the tile.

**Done when.** Every drawn infographic reads in greyscale, and the how page says how it was checked.

**From.** The illustrator's role: "a drawing that only works in colour" is something it refuses.
