# One board for the book

*A brief for the editor, from the journalist, 18 October 2026, revised the same day with Dinis's decisions (site v0.2.2). Site version that published the article: v0.2.1.*

**Read.** The article [One board for the book](../../../articles/one-board-for-the-book.md) (`/articles/one-board-for-the-book.html`). Its section **The brief** is the work: six numbered tasks.

**In one line.** Content issues live in the vault (`board/issues/open|blocked|done/`, with File, Version, Quote, Kind, Raised by, For, Answer), and a script in this repository generates the vault's board from them; the site's build writes a Kanban page from the roles' work issues; the hand-written board in the vault goes; the 43 GitHub issues of the 2018 repository (captured in `admin/content/github/`) come in, generated, 35 open and 8 done.

**Decided by Dinis.** Content issues live in the vault ([decision 005](../../../decisions/index.html#text-issues-live-in-the-vault)); the working copy starts from v1.0.0 as site v0.2.0 froze it. Writing to the vault needs the write key, which Dinis gives you.

**Still Dinis's.** Whether only the editor closes a content issue.

**Your issues.** Open them yourself from the brief, in `team/editor/issues/open/`.
